Liposuction (Lipoplasty)
Liposuction is a procedure that helps reshaping the body by
elimination of fatty deposits from differeny body parts, such
as abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, calves, ankles, upper
arms, chin, cheeks and neck. In Liposuction procedures tiny
incision, a narrow tube or cannula is inserted and used to vacuum
the fat layer that lies deep beneath the skin. The cannula is
pushed then pulled through the fat layer, breaking up the fat
cells and suctioning them out. The suction action is provided
by a vacuum pump or a large syringe. Today, a number of new
techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL) -
liposuction in which fat is modified or liquified by ultrasonic
waves before suctioning rather than by mechanical movement of
the suctioning cannula alone; the tumescent technique - liposuction
performed after subcutaneous infusion of fluid (most commonly
containing saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine, with or without
sodium bicarbonate) in a ratio of 2–3 ml of infiltrate
to 1 ml of aspirate; the endpoint of infiltration is tissue
turgor; and the super-wet technique - laser performed after
subcutaneous infiltration of physiologic saline solution in
a proportion of 1 ml to 2 ml of the expected aspirate; are helping
many plastic surgeons to provide
patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times.
To be a good candidate for liposuction, you must have realistic
expectations about what the procedure can do for you. You
should be physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic
in your expectations. Your age is not a
major consideration. Our
surgeons will explain the body-contouring methods that may be
most appropriate for you. For example, you might want liposuction
in the abdominal area, but an abdominoplasty or "tummy
tuck" might meet your goals more effectively;
or that a mixture of traditional liposuction and UAL would be
the best choice for you.
Individuals considering liposuction often feel a bit overwhelmed
by the number of options and techniques being promoted today.
Our Cosmetic Surgeon will help you to choose the right one for
you and give you guidelines on how to prepare for surgery. Liposuction
may be performed in a surgeon's office-based facility, in an
outpatient surgery center, or in a hospital. Smaller-volume
liposuction is usually done on an outpatient basis for reasons
of cost and convenience. However, if a large volume of fat will
be removed, or if the liposuction is being performed in conjunction
with other procedures, a stay in a hospital or overnight nursing
facility may be required at
no extra cost with Oxygen Zone.
Depending on area, liposuction may last from one to five hours
and is usually performed in peridural anesthesia with sedation. However,
some patients prefer general anesthesia, particularly if a large
volume of fat is being removed. If this is the case, specialist
anesthesiologist will be called in to make sure you are completely
asleep during the procedure.
All Surgery Carries Some Uncertainty and Risk. Liposuction is
normally safe. Though they are rare, complications can and do
occur. Temporary bruises, hematomas s and swelling gradually
subside in two weeks. Temporary numbness of skin is possible,
also, unevenness of skin surface, so massage and lymph drainage
is recommended.
If the skin has lost its elasticity, skin reduction might be
needed to be performed (lifting of thighs, hips and arms).
Don't expect to look or feel great right after surgery. Even
though the newer techniques reduce some post-operative discomforts,
you may still experience some pain, burning, swelling, bleeding
and temporary numbness. Pain can be controlled with medications
prescribed by your surgeon, though you may still feel stiff
and sore for a few days. You can resume your every day activities
in 5-7 days. Right after the procedure patient has to wear compression
garment for at least two to three weeks or until swelling and
hematomas subside.
It is normal to feel a bit anxious or depressed in the days
or weeks following surgery. However, this feeling will subside
as you begin to look and feel better.
If you have any unusual symptoms between visits -- for example,
heavy bleeding or a sudden increase in pain -- or any questions
about what you can and can't do, call your Cosmetic Surgeons.
You will see a noticeable difference in the shape of your body
quite soon after surgery. However, improvement will become even
more apparent after about four to six weeks, when final contour
will be visible.
You will be very pleased with the results
of your surgery, things can be different ... look to the future...

Breast Enlargement
Breast augmentation is usually done to balance a difference
in breast size, to improve body contour, or as a reconstructive
technique following surgery. Incisions are made to keep scars
as inconspicuous as possible, in the breast crease, around the
nipple, or in the armpit. Breast tissue and skin is lifted to
create a pocket for each implant. The breast implant may be
inserted directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest
wall muscle. After surgery, breasts appear fuller and more natural
in tone and contour. Scars will fade with time.
The choice of implant filler, implant size, shape and other
features will be determined based on your breast anatomy, body
type and your desired increase in size. Breast implants are
medical devices with a solid silicone, rubber shell. The implant
shell may be filled with either saline solution (sterile salt
water) or elastic silicone gel. Both saline and silicone gel
breast implants are approved. Approval means that an implant
has been rigorously researched and tested, and reviewed by an
independent panel of physicians for safety. The implant shell
may be smooth or textured; the implant may have a round profile
or one that is anatomic (teardrop or tapered shape). It is usually
recommended, however, that a woman's breasts are fully developed
prior to placement of breast implants. Saline implants are approved
for augmentation in women 18 years of age and older. Silicone
implants are approved for augmentation in women age 22 and older.
Breast implants do not generally interfere with a woman's ability
to breast feed, or present a health hazard during pregnancy
to a woman or her baby. Breast augmentation is relatively straightforward.
Procedure usually takes one to two hour to complete and is usually
done in general anesthesia.
Ultrasound and mammography should be done before the surgery
depending on the age and family history of the patient.
The perception of ourselves determines
who we are and how we present ourselves to other people.
You might feel tired and sore for a few days following your
surgery, but you'll be up and around in 24 to 48 hours. You
should be able to return to work within a few days, depending
on the level of activity required for your job. Your stitches
will come out in a week to 10 days, but the swelling in your
breasts may take three to five weeks to disappear. Sports and
strenuous activities are not recommended for a month.

Face Lift
Your face should show emotions
and your attitude … not your age ...
A facelift can improve the deep cheek folds, jowls and loose,
sagging skin around the neck that come with age. Incisions usually
begin above the hairline at the temples, follow the natural
line in front of the ear, curve behind the earlobe into the
crease behind the ear, and into or along the lower scalp. Facial,
neck tissue and muscle may be separated; fat may be trimmed
or suctioned and underlying muscle may be tightened. After deep
tissues are tightened, the excess skin is pulled up and back,
trimmed and put back into place. Most of the scars will be hidden
within your hair and in the normal creases of your skin. A facelift
can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such
as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. Complications
are infrequent and usually minor. Be sure to tell your surgeon
if you smoke or are taking any drugs or medications, especially
aspirin or other drugs that affect clotting.
A facelift usually takes several hours-or somewhat longer if
you're having more than one procedure done. Dressings and drain
are removed in a day or two, and the hair can be washed. Sutures
are removed over the period of seven to ten days. There is a
temporary feeling of dumbness in facial and neck area. Scars
heal gradually, much faster than of the other parts of the body
and they are all hidden in hairline, natural lines and behind
ears. Make-up can be worn few days after surgery, but sun exposure
is not recommended within few months. By the third week, you'll
look and feel much better. Most patients are back at work about
ten days to two weeks after surgery.
After surgery, you'll present a fresher, more youthful face
to the world. Beautiful leaves the rest behind!
Don't Get Mad, Get striking looking Face.
Endoscopic Face Lift
New - Since endoscopic
instruments are so specifically designed for each procedure,
extensive training and experience is essential for consistent
results. Significant surgical incisions are unnecessary because
endoscopic facelifts, brow lifts and neck lift can be performed
through tiny slits in the hairline, at the back of the ear and
under the chin. The lifting and repositioning of aging skin,
muscles and soft tissues back to a more youthful proportion
is gently performed using video-fiber-optic instruments. Areas
such as the mid-face, previously inaccessible by traditional
surgical techniques, can be easily reached and restored. The
endoscopic face lift, a minimally invasive surgery, elevates
sagging skin and fat, reducing smile lines and relieving lower
eyelid depression. The result: a refreshed youthful appearance.
Because the incisions used in an endoscopic facelift are significantly
smaller than those used in a traditional facelift, the risk
of sensory loss from nerve damage is decreased. Endoscopic facelift
patients also have significantly reduced bleeding, bruising
and swelling; tend to recover more quickly and are often able
to return to work and other activities within a week of the
procedure. Within three weeks most of the visible signs of surgery
should be gone. The Science Of

Hair Transplantation
Don't pay more just get more hair! Hair replacement candidates
should have some noticeable hair loss with healthy hair growth
at the back and sides of the head to serve as donor areas. It's
important to understand that all hair replacement techniques
use your existing hair. The goal of surgery is to find the most
efficient uses for existing hair. Other factors, such as hair
color, texture and waviness or curliness may also affect the
cosmetic result. There are a number of techniques used in hair
replacement surgery. Sometimes, two or more techniques are used
to achieve the best results. A tube-like instrument punches
round grafts from the donor site to be placed in the area where
hair replacement is desired. Hair replacement surgery, no matter
what technique is used, is usually performed using a local anesthesia
along with sedation to make you relaxed and comfortable. If
bandages are used after operation, they will usually be removed
one day later. You may gently wash your hair within two days
following surgery. Any stitches will be removed in a week to
10 days. Our philosophy is to provide the most cost effective
program to balding men or women by providing the doctors expertise
with less need for technical support staff and commissioned
salesmen. All our hair transplants are fully guaranteed to grow.
